Log Cabin Accommodations: Clean, Comfortable and Charmingly Rustic
The main lodge is the meeting place for meals, the location of the laundry area, indoor pool, hot tub, gift shop, coffee bar and snack area.
Guests sleep in either the log bunkhouse which was the original homestead on the ranch or in one of the charming log cabin duplexes. The bunkhouse was built in 1897, added onto in 1909 and again in 1921. The bunkhouse has been refitted and modernized with five private bedrooms designed for couples. Each bunkhouse room; the Longreen, the Meadow, the Canyon, the Blackrock, and the Farside have a private bathroom, one queen size bed and a private entrance.
Newly constructed log cabin rooms are designed for singles and friends traveling together and have two comfortably sized individual beds. The cabins also have private bathrooms and entrances. Both the bunkhouse and cabin rooms share excellent views of the meadow where the sunrise greets guests every morning. The porches are favorite gathering spots for early morning coffee or a quiet spot to read a book in the afternoons. The horseshoe pit, roping practice area, hot tub and swimming pool are located nearby.
All cabins are air conditioned and heated for comfort in all weather. Unlimited hot water soaks away the stiffness and fluffy down filled comforters are snug and cozy. Each room has a mini coffee bar with a coffee maker and all the fixins for coffee, tea and a small refrigerator. Soda pop and baskets of goodies are also available in the main lodge for snacking. Linens and towels are furnished for all rooms including bathrobes and flip flops.

Room Descriptions:
Blackrock: The Blackrock room is located inside the bunkhouse. Decorated with ranch photos and a patchwork quilt; this room is quite comfortable and relaxing. A log queen size bed, comfortable chair and ottoman, dresser drawers and small table for two complete the decor. Despite the rustic western appeal, the bathroom is equipped with a modern sink and tub/shower.
Canyon: The Canyon room; located in the bunkhouse, is our cowboy room with a queen size log bed, small wardrobe, comfortable chair and ottoman and table for two. The decorations include a bull rope and original western art. The full tub/shower and the unique bucket sink cleverly match the Canyon room's old tin walls.
Meadow: The Meadow room is decorated in honor of the schoolmarm who resided in the room years ago. A table for two, dresser drawers, queen size bed, handmade quilt and checkered curtains along with old tins create a very charming atmosphere in the Meadow room. The room also contains a full tub/shower, bucket sink and a southern exposure that ensures lots of sunshine and light.
Longreen: The Longreen room is located in the bunkhouse and is a new addition to our ranch. Bark on log walls and Saltillo tiles mix well with the queen size log bed, handmade quilt, comfortable chair and ottoman, and dresser drawers. This room is our most requested room. The Longreen room is also equipped with a full tub/shower and bucket sink.
Far Side: The Far Side room has a north facing entrance and its own private patio. This room also boasts the largest bathroom of all our guest accommodations with a full tub/shower and bucket sink. This room is accented with old photos, a queen size log bed, dresser drawers, comfortable chair and ottoman, table for two and closet for clothes.
Cabin Rooms: There are 8 log cabin rooms on the ranch. Each has a private bathroom with a shower and bucket sink. Cabin rooms all have two individual beds with down comforters, small coffee bar and refrigerator, individual air conditioning and heating, private porch and parking area. The cabins boast unlimited hot water and are in close proximity to the indoor pool, sauna, hot tub, horseshoe pitching and roping practice area.
The Grub:
Make sure to bring your appetite because three home cooked meals are served each day and snacks are available as desired to keep you full and energized. Hungry cowboys can sit down and dig in to a real ranch meal three times a day. Breakfast meal choices range from eggs, bacon and sausage, Sheila’s famous cinnamon rolls, cold and hot cereal, fruit, yogurt; occasionally biscuits and gravy or breakfast burritos are also served. On Saturday morning, the boss cooks her specialty - homemade pancakes!
Lunch is normally served in the dining room unless we are out on the trail or at a neighbor’s for the day. Sandwiches and soups, fruit, bread and salad are typical lunch meals. Lunch on the trail is brown bag containing sandwiches, fruit, chips and a dessert.
The evening meal is served in the dining room nightly. Margarita night is on Tuesday evening where the 'all you can drink' Margaritas are on the house. Other evening meals may include BBQ ribs, chicken, buffalo, beef or pork served with appropriate side dishes, bread, salad and dessert. Vegetarian and other special diets are happily catered to with advance notice.
